The scenic, bayside streets of downtown San Diego will come alive with the 2015 Port of San Diego Holiday Bowl Parade – a San Diego Bowl Games Production. As always, this exciting family event brings together world-class marching bands, magnificent floats, entertaining drill teams, and a procession of enormous balloons-more than any other parade! Over 100,000 street-side spectators will enjoy the parade along with a nationwide television audience. Secure your seat in the grandstands for prime viewing of this signature San Diego event!
Parade festivities will begin in the television area with the finals of the 19th annual Wienerschnitzel Wiener Nationals and the Bumble Bee Seafoods 5K.
*NOTE* – Tickets may be purchased at the grandstands on the day of the parade for $20, cash only. Grandstands are located at the intersection of Harbor Drive & Ash Street. Grandstand seating sold out last year.

<!–div> SOUTHWEST AIRLINES FLOAT DESIGN CONTEST You could be a star in the parade! Southwest Airlines invites all San Diego County students (grades K-5) to send in a drawing and brief description of their answer to the following question: “If I could fly anywhere in the United States, I’d go…” The winning entry will have a float built based on their drawing. The winning student and their family will be invited to ride on the newly-constructed float in the nationally televised Port of San Diego Holiday Bowl Parade, presented by U.S. Bank! GET INVOLVED! Specialty Units – Be in the parade! The parade is accepting specialty unit applications for parade participants: specialty units, dance troops, drill teams, etc. Entries will be judged on originality, uniqueness and entertainment value. The parade’s entry review committee will review all entries and their decision is final. Volunteer – Have you ever wanted to carry a giant balloon down a parade route? Now is your chance. The parade is accepting volunteer applications thru November 7. Positions include balloon handlers (ages 15 & up), banner handler (ages 5 & up), radio host liaison and 5K volunteer.
