America’s Largest Balloon Parade

The scenic, bayside streets of downtown San Diego will come alive with the Port of San Diego Holiday Bowl Parade! As always, this exciting family event brings together world-class marching bands, magnificent floats, entertaining drill teams, and a procession of enormous balloons – more than any other parade! Over 100,000 street-side spectators will enjoy the parade along with a nationwide television audience.

Parade festivities will begin in the television area with the Bumble Bee Seafoods 5K Run/Walk.

Bumble Bee Seafoods 5K – 9:45 am
Port of San Diego Holiday Bowl Parade – 10:00 am
Battle of the Bands – Broadway Pier – 11:45 am (approximate)
Holiday Bowl – 4:00 pm kickoff

Winners will start off game day by riding atop the Jerome’s Furniture float in front of 100,000 street-side spectators at the nationally televised Port of San Diego Holiday Bowl Parade!

And that night, you and three friends will make your way to Qualcomm Stadium for the Holiday Bowl to enjoy the big game in the most comfortable seats in the stadium—a Jerome’s leather power reclining sofa. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Grandstand Tickets:

Street-side viewing is free but join us in the grandstands for the best view along the route.

*A $2.00/event processing fee will be assessed to your order.
**NOTE: All orders placed after December 14th will not be mailed. If you placed your order after December 14th, then your tickets will be held for you at the event Will Call.

Other Seating Notes
1) There is no assigned seating in the grandstands. A ticket guarantees you a seat, and the seats are first-come, first-served.
2) If sitting on your lap, children ages 3 & under do not require a ticket.


Specialty Units

– Be in the parade! The parade is accepting specialty unit applications for parade participants: specialty units, dance troops, drill teams, etc. Entries will be judged on originality, uniqueness and entertainment value. The parade’s entry review committee will review all entries and their decision is final.

– Have you ever wanted to carry a giant balloon down a parade route? Now is your chance. The parade is accepting volunteer applications through November 6. Positions include:

  • Balloon Handlers (ages 15 & up)
  • Banner Handler (ages 5 & up)
  • Radio Host Liaison
  • 5K Volunteer
