Holiday Bowl officials announced today that the 38th annual game will kick off Wednesday, December 30 at 7:30 P.M. (PST) at Qualcomm Stadium. The bowl will air nationally on ESPN for the 30th consecutive year and match teams from the Pac-12 and Big Ten Conferences.
Last year’s game featured a 45-42 USC Trojans win over the Nebraska Cornhuskers in front of 55,789 fans. The Holiday Bowl was one of the most watched games on the post-season schedule with an average of 6.7 million football fans tuning in, resulting in a 4.0 rating.
The 2015 date for San Diego’s pre-Christmas bowl game, the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl, has already been announced. It will kick off at Qualcomm Stadium at 1:30 p.m. PST on Wednesday, December 23rd followed by the inaugural post-game fireworks show, Stadium Spectacular 2015.
