25th Annual 3-on-3 Tournament Returns to Crown Point Shores

2011_hoopsrecap_news.jpgBowl game hoops returns! The 25th annual Jack in the Box® “Hoops at the Beach” 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament is set for May 19th and 20th at Crown Point Shores along Mission Bay. It’s the largest annual 3-on-3 tournament in San Diego County.

The team entry fee includes event t-shirts and at least two games in double elimination or round-robin play. There are 12 divisions for boys and men, six divisions for girls and women, a co-ed division and a wheelchair division. There are age divisions for both genders ranging from 3rd to 12th grade. Men also can compete in the Elite, 6’0 & under, 6’3 & under, Men’s Open, Masters (30 & over), Super Masters (40 & over), and Senior Masters (50 & over) divisions. Women can also compete in the Women’s Open division. Kids divisions 3rd through 8th grade will play Sunday only.

The early-bird entry deadline is 5:00pm, Friday, May 11th. After that, prices will increase $15/team in all divisions.

In addition to 3-on-3 tournament action, event participants and spectators can enter in the San Diego County Kia Retailers Slam Dunk Contest, a 3-Point Shootout, as well as a Free Throw Contest.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County is the event’s beneficiary. A limited number of complimentary entries are available for military personnel, courtesy of Wells Fargo.
